The Far Traveler Cherishes Great Aspirations -- Zhiyuan Paper Group's New Plant Completion Ceremony Grandly Held

The poems and rhapsodies written by the sages, vast as a river and infinitely varied, are fully displayed in ink and the fragrance of books and passed down through the ages - all because of the invention of papermaking. In modern society, boxes, books, albums and folders, with their tactile shapes, are freely rendered on demand; that people can hardly put a box down is surely a contribution of board paper merchants.

Carrying on the cultural lineage and devoting themselves to industry, the far-traveling people hold great aspirations in their hearts, contributing to society and passing on civilization, joining in the grand chapter of a prosperous era, and ultimately drawing countless eyes. At an important moment written into the history of the company's development, on June 22, more than a thousand people - from local government departments and chambers of commerce, national and provincial and municipal associations, partners, customers, peers, friends and media representatives - gathered at the new plant of Dongguan Zhiyuan Paper Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhiyuan Paper") to witness its completion ceremony!

Fifteen years to hone a sword; today we stride forward anew

"A treasured sword's edge comes from grinding, and the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from the bitterness of cold."

After fifteen years of striving and development, Zhiyuan Paper has grown to a certain scale. It now has several branches in Hong Kong, Ningbo, Yiwu, Huizhou, Tangxia and Dongguan Zhilifang. Its current plant covers an area of 30,000 square meters and it has more than 300 employees. It is a strong company with keen market competitiveness and a maximum daily output of up to 400 tonnes.

The company constantly pursues excellence. In the fierce market competition, the people of Zhiyuan keep exploring, learning and growing, and strive to provide customers with perfect product quality and after-sales service. Seizing the opportunity of the national "Belt and Road" policy, the company has vigorously developed its foreign trade market, and its products are exported to more than 60 countries and regions in Asia, America, Africa and Europe, winning wide praise from users.

At the ceremony, Ren Yina, Secretary-General of the Packaging Printing Branch of PEIAC, and Li Jiong, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Printing and Replication Industry Association, delivered passionate speeches. They affirmed Zhiyuan Paper's years of active participation in industry activities and deep cultivation of the paperboard production sector, which has achieved a double harvest of social benefits and corporate benefits, and expressed the hope that, starting from the completion of the new plant, it will give full play to the plant's maximum efficiency and seize the development opportunities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to write an even more brilliant new chapter.

As a customer representative, Lin Jichun, General Manager of Shenzhen Qianhai Jinjia Supply Chain Co., Ltd. of the Jinjia Group, said with deep emotion that Zhiyuan has grown from a small sampan 15 years ago into a large sailing ship today. Over the years, Zhiyuan has always been Jinjia's best partner, providing us with high-quality paperboard over the long term. Jinjia is not only a leader in China's cigarette label sector; it is currently also engaged in deep cooperation with companies such as Moutai and Wuliangye in the liquor packaging sector, and hopes to continue to maintain close cooperation with Zhiyuan in the future.

Ouyang Zhong, Chairman of Jintian Paper, as a supplier representative, sincerely wished Zhiyuan greater and greater success. At the same time, he noted that many "big names" of the packaging industry were present today, and proposed that colleagues in the packaging industry, with an open and win-win mindset, join forces and advance together to make the packaging industry's tomorrow even more brilliant.

As the leader, Qiu Zhiyin, Chairman of Dongguan Zhiyuan Paper Co., Ltd., introduced in his speech the significance of the new factory: "it is the first step for the company to achieve large-scale operation; it is an important milestone for the company to achieve diversified operation". He also defined its positioning: "the group will rely on the software and hardware conditions of the new factory to build it into the group's headquarters base, talent training center/base, and a window for the group's external exchanges".

He further envisioned the group's vision: "to develop within five years into the industry's most outstanding integrated paperboard supplier" and "to build a well-known brand with global influence in the industry". To this end, he said the group would, on the basis of R&D and production, continuously increase capital investment, expand production scale, improve the industrial chain, and expand development space, so as to provide integrated services for the printing and packaging industry.

Amid the sound of drums and gongs, two golden lions and two red lions appeared on the main ceremony stage. The "eye-dotting" guests - Qiu Zhiyin, Chairman of Zhiyuan Paper; Wang Fengna, Deputy Secretary-General of PEIAC; Huang Xianyuan, General Manager of Zhiyuan Paper; and Chen Ningjun, President of the Guangdong Printing and Replication Industry Association - stepped onto the main stage and, under the gaze of more than a thousand pairs of eyes, each dotted cinnabar on the lions' eyes. "Dotting the eyes" also implies "dotting gold", meaning awakening the lions and symbolizing the display of the company's high fighting spirit. At this moment, the four golden and red lions appeared full of life and vigor.

Afterwards, the guests placed the prepared red envelopes into the lions' mouths, implying "a good start". Then, the four lions gave a long and wonderful performance on and off the stage, playing with one another, leaping high, walking around the venue, and presenting apples ("peace") to the guests, quickly igniting the atmosphere of the whole venue. Finally, Chairman Qiu Zhiyin "received wealth (vegetables)" from the lions' mouths, symbolizing that the company's "wealth will roll in", and knowing applause broke out on site. The four lions then spat out banners reading "Prosperous Business" and "Great Prospects", triggering another round of warm applause.

Setting sail again, the launch of the new plant brought the ceremony to a climax. Qiu Zhiyin, Chairman of Zhiyuan Paper; Wang Fengna, Deputy Secretary-General of PEIAC; Chen Ningjun, President of the Guangdong Printing and Replication Industry Association; Huang Xianyuan, General Manager of Zhiyuan Paper; Mai Zhiqiang, Secretary-General of the Dongguan Printing Industry Association; Ouyang Zhong, Chairman of Jintian Paper; Chen Jinsheng, General Manager of Xin Fufa Paper; and Lin Jichun, General Manager of Shenzhen Qianhai Jinjia Supply Chain Co., Ltd., each held a golden sand bottle and poured out the large golden-red characters "Grand Launch of Zhiyuan Paper Group's New Plant", and the whole hall erupted in thunderous applause...

A tidy, spacious and modern workshop then appeared before everyone's eyes. In the production workshop, giant roll-fed laminating equipment produced high-quality paperboard, which was continuously conveyed on the belt wheels. At present, Zhiyuan Paper already has seven multi-functional high-speed laminators, drying and shaping production lines and corresponding testing equipment, distributed among its subsidiaries, with a maximum daily output of up to 400 tonnes.

In the warehousing and logistics workshop, everyone saw that although all kinds of paperboard were piled high and densely packed, they were stacked neatly and well arranged. In fact, Zhiyuan Paper also has complete warehousing and logistics facilities, with a storage capacity of more than 20,000 tonnes, and can provide customers with loading and distribution services 24 hours a day.

Integrated post-press intelligent solutions make a stunning appearance

Also eye-catching was the "Zhiyuan Paper Integrated Post-press Solution" demonstrated on site. It not only showcased how five companies - Zhiyuan Paper, Heyu Adhesive, Keqi Automation, Hongming Intelligent and Shengtu Machinery - provide integrated solutions for the paperboard, eco-friendly glue, paper surface treatment and glue spraying, box making and lid-and-base machines, and case making machines required for post-press packaging, letting guests feel how closely the processes of a fine packaging product are linked; it also demonstrated their practice of and sense of responsibility for intelligent, eco-friendly and energy-saving packaging.

All products of Zhiyuan Paper comply with various EU testing standards such as ROHS, heavy metals, halogens and phthalates, as well as the REACH (SVHC) chemical prevention regulations, and have successively passed the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and the FSC/COC global forest certification system. The jelly glue produced by Heyu Adhesive is mainly composed of animal protein (free of benzene and formaldehyde solvents) and is non-toxic and eco-friendly; its water-soluble white latex is also a recognized eco-friendly adhesive.

Keqi Automation's plasma surface treatment system for paper products targets paper box products with metal coatings, UV varnish or lamination on the surface. By applying plasma surface treatment technology and standard cold glue, it achieves both high-quality box bonding and cost reduction; its folding color box glue spraying application scheme (system) can minimize cleaning and setup time in production; and its automatic double-sided gluing machine reaches a speed of 200 pieces/min, with options selectable by customers according to their needs.

Hongming Intelligent's HM-ZD350 fully automatic intelligent box making machine has dual heads, equivalent to two machines operating at the same time, with a speed of up to 38 pieces/min; the HM-ZD6418 high-speed fully automatic intelligent lid-and-base box making machine requires only 1-2 operators for normal operation, with a capacity of up to 1,200-1,800 pieces/hour.

Shengtu Machinery's products feature a number of proprietary technologies, such as its ST036XL large-format case making machine with a proprietary soft spine paper device (solving the problem of producing soft spine cases) and a proprietary round corner device (solving the problem of producing round corner cases); the STO40PP+MP fully automatic magnet mounting and lining machine has national invention patent technology, and its automatic magnet mounting device achieves both lower labor costs and higher profits; its dual-channel device can mount the linings of two cases at the same time, increasing output.

This was a grand gathering rarely seen in the industry. Elites of China's packaging industry all gathered here, and representatives of many top-tier companies witnessed it together. They not only witnessed the transformation of a paperboard company from small to large, but also felt the strong development momentum of China's packaging industry, and the enthusiasm and open mindset of packaging peers toward the industry's development. Travelers who go far and hold great aspirations in their hearts, creating together hand in hand, will surely achieve "friends all over the world as close as glue and lacquer" and win "thousands upon thousands of broad mansions"!
