The products that passed EPEAT Silver certification for Kyocera this time include: color multifunction digital copiers TASKalfa7551ci/6551ci, TASKalfa5551ci/4551ci/3551ci/3051ci, TASKalfa2551ci; monochrome multifunction digital copiers TASKalfa8001i/6501i, TASKalfa5501i/4501i/3501i; and the monochrome printer ECOSYSFS-2100DN.

It is reported that Kyocera also plans to certify another 16 models currently on sale.

In 2006, EPEAT was used to evaluate and certify computers and display devices, and in 2013 the scope of evaluation was expanded to include imaging equipment such as multifunction digital copiers and printers. Among the 59 environmental criteria for imaging equipment, 33 are mandatory criteria, including the recovery and reuse of products and consumables. Products that meet all mandatory criteria are awarded Bronze certification. Products that meet all mandatory criteria and 50% of the optional criteria are awarded Silver certification, while gold certification requires meeting all mandatory criteria and 75% of the optional criteria.

In addition, Kyocera also plans to uphold the EPEAT certification criteria when designing products in the future, to further improve the environmental performance of its products throughout the entire life cycle from production and use to disposal/reuse, and thereby to improve customer satisfaction.
