Why Use Eco-Friendly Packaging?
As environmental problems become increasingly prominent, people have gradually realized the importance of environmental protection, strongly support the application of green and environmentally friendly materials in packaging design, and the development and utilization of new environmentally friendly materials has become a common global goal.
Saving natural resources. Under the influence of new environmental protection concepts, product packaging designers have abandoned the previous cumbersome packaging design process and instead seek more streamlined and lightweight design models. In the selection of packaging materials, they favor environmentally friendly materials, such as degradable materials, natural polymers and other materials that do not pollute the environment. Such materials often have abundant reserves in nature and are renewable, thus meeting people's current demand for sustainable development.
Reducing environmental pollution. Usually, waste packaging materials are mainly treated by incineration or landfill, but traditional packaging materials in the process of incineration and landfill will cause serious pollution to the natural environment. Non-degradability is a common feature of traditional packaging materials, so burying them in the soil takes a long time to be effectively decomposed, and some even take decades to be completely decomposed. Even if incineration is chosen, a large amount of sulfur pollution gas will be generated after incineration, which is highly harmful to the air environment. New green and environmentally friendly materials do not have such problems. New materials have a stronger self-degradation ability and can be effectively decomposed in a short time when buried in the land. In addition, the decomposition products can effectively enhance soil fertility, promote the yield of crops in the land, and effectively avoid pollution to the environment.
