Several well-known companies obtain design patent grants, covering the fields of food and medical product packaging
Shuanghui Development: obtained a design patent for "Packaging Bag (Sugar-free Ham Sausage)", where the design points lie in the combination of pattern, shape and color, for handheld food packaging.
Ocumetrics: obtained a design patent for "Packaging Box (Lutein Product Packaging)", focusing on the three-dimensional combination of shape, pattern and color, for product packaging and transportation.
Yantang Dairy: obtained a design patent for "Packaging Box (236 ml Gable-top Fresh Milk)", the core of the design being the combination of shape and pattern, dedicated to holding milk.
In terms of industry trends, dairy packaging is entering an "art crossover 2.0" period. By working with museums, art academies and intangible cultural heritage, dairy companies integrate regional culture, classic paintings and campus elements into packaging design, creating cultural and creative products with collectible and gifting value. For example, some brands have launched limited-edition packaging incorporating patterns from the Shenyang Imperial Palace, Dunhuang murals or blue-and-white porcelain, and use digital collectible technology to extend cultural added value. This strategy aims to broaden consumption scenarios through visual differentiation, reach younger groups and build soft brand assets.
The upgrading of agricultural product packaging shows a trend of shifting from homogenized templates to cultural IP systems. Market practice in 2026 shows that successful packaging upgrades mainly rely on three paths: first, cultural IP-based design, tapping regional historical context and integrating Chinese-style elements; second, functional structural innovation, optimizing sealing and dust-proof structures for specific categories; third, digital marketing integration, using traceability cloud codes to connect online and offline channels. Data shows that local specialty brand products that completed a full-case upgrade saw average sales increase of more than 20%.
For fast-moving consumer categories with severe homogenization such as dried noodles, professional design agencies are solving the problem of low shelf recognition by distilling a "super purchase reason". By sorting out raw material advantages and eating scenarios, and using exclusive super symbols and differentiated color systems, they help brands escape low-price involution and achieve terminal sell-through and premium capability.
