The 9th Logistics Packaging Technology Development Conference is held in Shanghai

On July 2-3, 2026, the 9th Logistics Packaging Technology Development Conference, hosted by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and organized by the Logistics Equipment Professional Committee of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, was held in Shanghai. Ma Zengrong, member of the Party Standing Committee, vice president and secretary-general of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, attended and delivered a speech.

In his speech, Ma Zengrong said that logistics packaging, as a key link connecting production, circulation and consumption, should rely on the 15th Five-Year Plan outline and China's coordinated advancement of the construction of six major modern infrastructure networks to actively drive the packaging industry toward green, intelligent and intensive transformation. At present, the industry chain system of the packaging industry is increasingly complete. Looking ahead, the industry needs to focus on four key development directions: first, adhere to green and low-carbon development and build a full life-cycle circular system; second, concentrate on digital intelligence to create a smart and efficient new collaborative engine; third, improve unified standards and participate in the formulation of international standards; fourth, drive innovation momentum and cultivate hard-core support for new quality productive forces in the industry. He expressed the hope that the industry will take this conference as an opportunity to pursue collaborative innovation and green development, and help the industry achieve high-quality development.

More than 300 representatives from over 150 domestic enterprises engaged in the R&D, design, production, service and application of logistics packaging, including relevant leaders from government competent departments and industry associations, senior experts from research institutes and universities, Shandong Tai'an Tobacco, Guangxi Modern Logistics Group, JD Logistics and SF Express, attended the conference.

With the theme of "Resilience Reshaping, Collaborative Symbiosis", the conference focused on industry hot topics, carried out in-depth discussions and exchanges around new logistics packaging technologies, low-carbon new materials and new circular sharing models, focused on full-chain carbon footprint control and standardization system development, and simultaneously interpreted the EU PPWR regulation and analyzed the opportunities and challenges that the new rules bring to domestic packaging export enterprises. It jointly promoted the integrated development of digitalization, greening, circularity, intelligence, sharing and standardization in logistics packaging, and served as a high-level professional exchange platform that brings together upstream and downstream players of the industry chain to jointly explore the path of sustainable development of the packaging industry.
