Sanya Municipal Market Supervision Administration Organizes Training Session on Digital Labels for Prepackaged Food
On October 26, an expert group from the provincial market supervision administration, the provincial health commission and the provincial CDC traveled to Sanya to conduct a training session on digital labels for prepackaged food. Persons in charge of food production enterprises across the city, quality directors and frontline market supervision enforcement personnel attended the training. The training closely followed the latest requirements of GB 7718-2025, the National Food Safety Standard — General Rules for the Labeling of Prepackaged Food, systematically interpreting the policy positioning, scope of application and regulatory essentials of digital labels, focusing on correcting the misconceptions commonly held by enterprises, clearly distinguishing the essential difference between digital labels and ordinary marketing QR codes, clarifying compliance boundaries and eliminating operational blind spots. The training stressed that the legal status of paper physical labels remains unchanged, and that enterprises promoting digital labels must strictly implement hard requirements such as "consistency between the content of physical labels and digital labels, scanning the code leading directly to publicly disclosed information, full documentation of the entire content modification process, and dynamically traceable data", and resolutely eliminate arbitrary changes to label information, disguised circumvention of supervision and other such practices. The meeting required that food production enterprises benchmark against national standard requirements, adhere to the principle of pilot first, and steadily and orderly advance the standardized application of digital labels, comprehensively improving the level of product label compliance management; market supervision departments will continue to provide frontline services, precise guidance and categorized assistance, carry out policy briefings and compliance guidance on a regular basis, and help enterprises improve quality and efficiency and polish the brand of Sanya's specialty foods.
