Huawei MatePad Pro 2 Packaging Box Leaked

Published:2021-06-02 · Industry News

Not long ago, Huawei officially announced that it would hold a launch event for the HarmonyOS operating system and Huawei's all-scenario new products on June 2.

According to official teasers, in addition to releasing the official version of HarmonyOS, the event will also bring new products such as the new-generation Huawei WATCH 3 and Huawei MatePad Pro 2.

As the launch date approaches, detailed leaks about the MatePad Pro 2 are gradually surfacing.

Recently, the blogger @Uncle Watching the Mountain posted a picture of what appears to be the packaging box of the new MatePad Pro; the image shows the words "Powered by HarmonyOS" printed on the packaging — in other words, the product will ship with HarmonyOS pre-installed for the first time.

According to earlier leaks, the all-new MatePad Pro may come in 12.6-inch and 10.8-inch versions, both supporting high refresh rates.

In terms of core performance, the device will carry a Kirin 9000 series processor and 8GB of RAM; in addition, MIIT network-access information shows that this new product will be equipped with a 40W charger.

It is worth noting that the all-new second-generation HUAWEI M-Pencil stylus will also be released together with the device.

In terms of appearance, the new product continues the previous generation's design overall, adopting a full-screen design scheme with relatively narrow screen bezels.

In addition, judging from an image said to be the main interface of the Huawei MatePad Pro 2, the tablet-side HarmonyOS introduces a dual Dock bar design similar to that of Mac, showing running applications right next to commonly used apps, similar to PC devices.

It is worth mentioning that at the June 2 launch event Huawei will announce the first batch of devices eligible for HarmonyOS upgrades, including eight devices: Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, Mate 40 RS, Mate X2, nova 8, nova 8 Pro and MatePad Pro.
