It is reported that the local fire department dispatched more than 30 fire engines to the scene and fought the fire for more than ten hours.
Nearby residents said the company mostly produces flammable products such as paper and plastic, and the fire was large and burned for a long time. The company involved is Suzhou Hengshun Paper & Plastic Co., Ltd. Information from Tianyancha shows that the company is mainly engaged in paper packaging and other businesses.
According to a video report by The Beijing News, learned from Taiping Subdistrict, Xiangcheng District, Suzhou City, as of 10:00 on August 23, the fire had been brought under control, with no casualties, and the cause of the fire and property losses are under investigation.
According to industry insiders, the factory is one of the earlier board enterprises in China to introduce a 2.8-meter Fosber corrugated line, with an annual output value of hundreds of millions, and is a large comprehensive corrugated board and carton manufacturer. The cause of the fire accident is still under investigation.
According to its official website: Suzhou Hengshun Paper & Plastic Co., Ltd. was founded in July 1997. Editor's reminder: As autumn begins, the air is dry and fires are highly likely to occur, which papermaking and packaging enterprises especially need to guard against. After all, paper products are dry and flammable, and once a fire breaks out the consequences are unimaginable! Factories and enterprises must pay attention to fire safety and must never be negligent.
