The latest market analysis report from PCI Films Consulting (hereinafter referred to as PCI) points out that as the economies of Middle Eastern and African countries gradually recover and their domestic investment continues to increase, the market trend of the food processing industry has also improved accordingly. Affected by this, the flexible packaging market demand in these two major regions will grow at a rate of 5% over the next 5 years and beyond.
PCI says that in 2013 the flexible packaging market value of the Middle East and Africa will reach USD 4 billion. As the economic strength of the countries in these two major regions grows, local residents' demand for food packaging is expanding day by day. For this reason, major global flexible packaging multinational companies have begun to target the business opportunity and are preparing to enter the Middle East and African markets.
Analysis data show that South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt and Saudi Arabia are currently the four countries with the largest demand in the Middle East and African flexible packaging market. Their annual consumption of flexible packaging products accounts for more than half of the total.
In terms of sales, Nigeria is the country with the best sales of flexible packaging products in the Middle East and African market. Over the past 5 years, the country's flexible packaging market demand growth rate has been 12%. Encouragingly, even small countries such as Tanzania and the United Arab Emirates are seeing their market demand for flexible packaging grow year by year.
