The Hangzhou Declaration of the World Packaging Industry Center Alliance

[ppzhan Abstract] Recently, the 2013 China (Hangzhou) World Packaging Industry Summit Forum was held in Hangzhou, with more than 600 people from around the world attending the event. At the forum, Wang Jiazhuo, Executive Chairman of the SME Alliance, read out the "Hangzhou Declaration of the World Packaging Industry Center Alliance". Excerpts are given below.

On November 19, the 2013 China (Hangzhou) World Packaging Industry Summit Forum grandly opened in Hangzhou, and investment promotion for the World Packaging Industry Center was launched at the same time. Wang Jiazhuo, Executive Chairman of the SME Alliance, read out the "Hangzhou Declaration of the World Packaging Industry Center Alliance" at the forum:

The packaging industry is an all-encompassing sunrise industry with sustainable development. The development of the packaging industry not only reflects a country's comprehensive national strength and competitiveness, but is also an important symbol of a country's scientific and technological progress and social civilization.

First, the Asian Packaging Center of the World Packaging Organisation, as the first global industry center established by the organization in China, faces major historic opportunities and challenges. It needs not only strong support from government agencies, but also effective impetus from within China and from the organization, as well as the active participation of relevant enterprises.

Second, the basic purpose of the World Packaging Industry Center Alliance is: voluntariness, equality, cooperation and mutual benefit. We are willing to cooperate closely with all sectors of society in order to jointly build the platform, share resources and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and to establish an open platform for cooperation, exchange and development.

Third, the mission of the World Packaging Industry Center Alliance is: through the alliance's cooperation mechanisms and cooperation methods, to advance the integration of packaging industry resources and advanced elements, advance the transformation and upgrading of the packaging industry and the enhancement of its innovation capability, advance the standardization and green revolution of the packaging industry, advance resource conservation and circular utilization in the packaging industry, and advance the packaging industry from being large to being strong.

Fourth, the future development planning goal of the World Packaging Industry Center is: rooted in Zhejiang, laid out across the country, and reaching out to the world. A headquarters base and a key base in Zhejiang will be built in Hangzhou, specialized or regional bases will be laid out and established within China, headquarters will be set up in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and a number of sub-bases or branches will be established in major countries on five continents.

Fifth, as the commanding height of the packaging industry, the World Packaging Industry Center is an important platform for the development of China's packaging industry and also a major platform for the development of the packaging industry. It requires pooling strength and integrating resources to accelerate the clustered, grouped and intensive development of the packaging industry.

Sixth, in cooperation with the SME Alliance, the World Packaging Organisation, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and other institutions, large-scale packaging events such as the World Packaging Industry Summit Forum, packaging summits and packaging expos will be held regularly, so as to build a world-class convention and exhibition platform for the packaging industry.

Seventh, the World Packaging Industry Center integrates science and technology, education, information, finance, culture, manufacturing, commerce and trade, logistics, construction and services. We will join hands with all institutions willing to participate in building the platform of the World Packaging Industry Center, and turn it into a propeller for the structural adjustment of China's packaging industry, an incubator for new packaging industries and a demonstrator for the transformation and upgrading of Chinese industries.
