Published:2021-04-16 · Industry News

[ppzhan Abstract] The anti-myopia exercise book is an important invention of China for preventing myopia among students, and it has achieved very good results in actual use. However, due to changes of the times, the past printing standards no longer suit the current needs of students' learning, so the Ningxia Education Department has adjusted the standard.

The reporter learned from the Ningxia Education Department yesterday that since 2000 our region has promoted the use of 'anti-myopia exercise books'; because the past printing standards no longer suit the current needs of students' learning, the Education Department recently adjusted the standard.

The high incidence of myopia among primary and secondary school students not only hinders normal study and life but also affects students' physical and mental health. In November 2000, the Education Department issued the 'Notice on Recommending the Use of Anti-Myopia Exercise Books in Primary and Secondary Schools across the Region' and recommended their use in most areas of the region. The 'anti-myopia exercise book' is a Chinese invention and an important means of preventing and treating myopia among students'; after being recommended for use, it won recognition and praise from teachers, students and parents across Ningxia. In 2007, the Education Department again issued a document to promote its use across the region.

With the rapid development of the social economy and the marked improvement of people's living standards, the past printing standards no longer suit the current needs of students' learning, so the Education Department adjusted the standard. From now on, the specification for primary schools is 22-format horizontal-flip style, and the specification for middle schools is 16-format horizontal-flip style. The covers all use 128g art paper with four-color offset printing. The inner pages all use 70g eye-protection writing paper, printed on both sides, with 30 sheets and 60 pages per book. The supply price, following the principle of 'cost recovery with small profit', is determined by the education department together with the local pricing department with reference to market prices.
