Hoshine to Invest RMB 460 Million in Another Smart Packaging Plant in Zhangzhou, Fujian
Hexing Packaging announced in an evening notice that its controlled subsidiary Fujian Hexin Packaging Co., Ltd. and the Fujian Changtai Economic Development Zone Management Committee signed on July 14 the "Reservation Agreement for the Transfer of Enterprise Land Use Rights" concerning the Zhangzhou Changtai Intelligent Eco-Friendly Packaging Project.
The project plans to invest in and build an intelligent eco-friendly paper packaging project within the Zhangzhou Changtai Economic Development Zone, with a total project investment of about RMB 460 million, with production and operation carried out through phased self-construction, and an average investment intensity of no less than RMB 3 million per mu.
This project is intended to be undertaken and implemented by the company's controlled subsidiary Fujian Hexin Packaging Co., Ltd. Fujian Hexin was established by the company in September 2013 in Changtai, Zhangzhou, and has achieved good economic returns since starting production; after years of development it has now become an important contributor to the company's profits.
We might speculate that the project may build a new intelligent packaging factory on the basis of Fujian Hexin Packaging.
On May 27, 2021, Hexing Packaging held a "Smart Digital Printing Experience Day" event in Wuhan that caused a stir across the industry. The smart factory demonstrated to the industry a color box pre-printing production solution centered on the HP PageWide T400S digital printing press. This solution accommodates both large-batch production and small-batch customization of corrugated folded color boxes, and also effectively solves the current problems of low capacity and excessively high cost in small-batch customization.
So, will Fujian Hexin replicate and upgrade the Hubei Hexin version? We will follow this closely.
