Guangdong Shanying Paper's Green Environmental Project Secures RMB 1.05 Billion in Credit Support

Published:2021-08-27 · Industry News

Recently, the Sihui Sub-branch of the Agricultural Development Bank of China was approved for an agricultural science and technology loan of 1.05 billion yuan, to be used by Shanying Paper (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. for the construction of a high-grade packaging paper cooperation upgrade and technical transformation project, effectively supporting the company's technological innovation and injecting green financial vitality into the environmental recycling economy. The first disbursement of 138 million yuan has been successfully completed.

The high-grade packaging paper cooperation upgrade and technical transformation project built by Guangdong Shanying is part of the layout plan of Shanying International Holdings Co., Ltd. to build a million-tonne papermaking base in Guangdong. The total investment in the project is about 2.8 billion yuan, including the construction of two new production lines, PM52 and PM53, as well as supporting facilities such as warehouses, treatment stations and waste paper sheds. It will mainly produce varieties in high demand in the Guangdong market: yew paper and low-grammage linerboard. The project aligns with the direction of green, environmentally friendly circular economy development, processing recycled resources such as waste paper and straw into recycled fibers before green papermaking production.

After the project is completed and put into operation, its annual capacity will be 10 times that of the existing PM51 production line, which can effectively make up for the shortage of capacity in the Guangdong market and drive the development of upstream and downstream industries such as transportation, packaging and printing in the surrounding areas, forming a sound layout for Shanying International Holdings Co., Ltd. to expand its market in Guangdong. At the same time, the project delivers good social benefits. It is expected to start production in 2022 with an annual capacity of 1 million tonnes, equivalent to reducing deforestation by 3 million tonnes per year. It makes a positive contribution to promoting waste recycling, further advancing the healthy development of a low-carbon economy, and achieving harmonious development between manufacturing and nature.
