Recently, under the guidance of the Jieyang Municipal Office for Combating Pornography and Illegal Publications, the Jieyang public security authorities busted two hideouts that used online shopping platforms to sell illegal publications and one illegal printing hideout, arrested 4 criminal suspects, and seized more than 140,000 illegally published books, two printing machines and a batch of other tools. With this, a criminal gang suspected of printing and selling illegal publications was completely destroyed along its entire chain.

It is understood that in early September this year, the Environmental, Food and Drug Crime Investigation Detachment of the Jieyang Municipal Public Security Bureau received a clue transferred from the municipal Office for Combating Pornography and Illegal Publications about an online store suspected of selling illegal publications. Through meticulous analysis and assessment, they finally identified a rented room that might be a shipping point and a criminal suspect, Chen Mou Ping. While analyzing real-time information about that rented room, another suspect was linked, and another rented room also came into the investigators' view. After meticulous investigation, the situation and patterns of the two hideouts were basically clarified, and the Municipal Public Security Bureau then joined forces with the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports and the Puning Municipal Public Security Bureau to launch a closing operation.

In another rented room in Shanhu Village, Chiwei Subdistrict, Puning City, more than 30,000 illegally published books were seized, including "Super Feng Shui Resolution", "Various Social Occasions for Weddings and Funerals" and "Peerless Secret Prescriptions of Taoist Medicine". At the scene, a criminal suspect, Yang Mou Chi (male, 33 years old, from Lufeng), was arrested. Upon examination, Yang Mou Chi confessed that since early June 2021 he had registered 3 "merchant" accounts online and sold books without copyright numbers such as "Super Feng Shui Resolution", "Various Social Occasions for Weddings and Funerals", "Feng Shui of the Yin Dwellings of 27 Families without Heirs and the Complete Book of Yin Dwellings", "Peerless Secret Prescriptions of Taoist Medicine" and "The Complete Book of Fate Calculation" on the internet, with sales reaching more than 100,000 yuan over more than 4 months, of which the illegal profit was about 30,000 yuan.

Through intensive interrogation, the criminal suspects Chen Mou Xu and Yang Mou Chi confessed that these books were printed on commission by the "Chengfang" printing factory in Hongyang Town. The police officers handling the case then arrested Fang Mou Chao and Zheng Mou Mei, the owners of the "Chengfang" printing factory, and Fang Mou Chao and Zheng Mou Mei pleaded guilty to the criminal facts. At present, the criminal suspects Chen Mou Xu, Yang Mou Chi, Fang Mou Chao and Zheng Mou Mei have been criminally detained, and the case is under further investigation.
