Zhejiang Provincial Postal Administration advances green transformation of express packaging across the province
Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Postal Administration held a provincial work promotion meeting on energy conservation and environmental protection in the postal and express delivery industry and the green transformation of express packaging, to ensure completion of the "9917" project and various tasks such as plastic pollution governance.
The meeting reported on the overall situation of the province's industry in carrying out the "9917" project and plastic pollution governance in the first half of the year, commented on the distinctive highlights of some enterprises' work in industry ecological and environmental protection, and interpreted the content of the State Post Bureau's ecological and environmental protection evaluation indicators. At the same time, the meeting redeployed the implementation of industry ecological and environmental protection work by provincial-level major-brand delivery enterprises, and clarified key tasks such as establishing and implementing a unified procurement system, carrying out standardized packaging operation management, promoting the circular reuse of express packaging, organizing ecological and environmental protection training, implementing responsibility for plastic packaging governance, and carrying out energy-saving and emission-reduction green transport. Each delivery enterprise signed the "Commitment Letter of Zhejiang Province Brand Delivery Enterprises on Implementing the Main Responsibility of Enterprises for Industry Ecological and Environmental Protection".
The meeting required delivery enterprises to focus on three aspects of work. First, raise their position, clearly understand the situation, and resolutely shoulder the main responsibility for ecological and environmental protection work; second, focus on goals, reform and innovate, and, centering on green development goals, advance related work through the application of new technologies and innovative models; third, keep a firm grip on deadlines, refine measures, and, in accordance with the time-limit requirements for completing related tasks, implement the responsibilities of all parties and refine various measures.
Relevant heads of the provincial-level headquarters of each major-brand delivery enterprise attended the meeting.
