Asia's ** processing and packaging machinery exhibition
——SWOP Packaging World Expo (Shanghai) will be held on November 23-25, 2021 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. SWOP 2021 covers terminal industries such as food, beverage, desserts, baked goods, pharmaceuticals, personal care, non-food consumer goods and industrial products, providing a broad trade platform for domestic processing and packaging machinery manufacturers and packaging material producers.
SWOP will start from aspects such as artificial intelligence, printing, e-commerce and logistics packaging, personalized packaging and packaging design, continuing to take building an *all-round packaging industry chain display platform as its theme. Covering the whole industry chain of packaging material production and processing, primary packaging, secondary packaging, packaging material production and processing machinery, packaging printing, food and beverage processing and packaging, pharmaceutical and cosmetics processing and packaging, non-food consumer goods processing and packaging, packaging materials and containers as well as packaging products and packaging design, it provides innovative packaging solutions and displays intelligent processing and packaging production lines.
As a member of the interpack alliance, the world's ** packaging machinery and processing exhibition, SWOP integrates internationalized resources. SWOP 2019, carrying new trends, new ideas and new technologies of the packaging industry, paved the way as a preview for interpack 2020. The 2019 edition had an exhibition area of over 60,000 square meters, with 701 exhibitors competing on the same stage and attracting 25,193 professional visitors from home and abroad. Well-known Chinese and foreign exhibitors from 13 ** and regions worldwide — including China, Germany, France, Sweden, Belgium, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, China Hong Kong and China Taiwan — appeared with *cutting-edge
products and innovations in the processing and packaging field. Among them, pioneers of the processing and packaging industry such as HP, Hoyo, Demag, Hangzhou Zhongya, Hualian Machinery, Yongchuang, Berry Elite and Tongchan Lixing (in no particular order) all appeared at
swop 2019, jointly showing the major development trends of intelligence, integration, personalization and environmental friendliness in packaging manufacturing.
swop is committed to building a very
valuable ecosystem of the fast-moving consumer goods industry chain. For the third time it joined hands with “Packaging Home”, which has
more than 1,200 fast-moving consumer goods industry members, to jointly build the “FMCG Theme Hall” in Hall N3. This theme hall mainly exhibits packaging containers and packaging consumables, and its scale rose again compared with the previous edition, with more than 200 exhibitors and over 10,000 square meters of display space. Among them, the presence of the Shaoxing Shangyu District Cosmetics Packaging Industry Association also made the “FMCG Theme Hall” shine. It displays *quality products to end users of packaging applications and creates a cross-field communication platform, thereby enhancing *brand competitiveness. At a time when packaging materials and products have become a hot spot of attention in terminal fields, the “FMCG Theme Hall” is undoubtedly one of swop's most competitive highlights.
The concurrent activities of swop 2019 were brilliant and diverse, and many of the themed display zones and forums were inspired by the interpack exhibition, among them “SAVE FOOD”, jointly organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., which landed at swop 2019 in the dual form of a themed exhibition and a summit forum. At the summit forum on the ** day of the show (November 26), guests from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Toppan Printing Shanghai, the VDMA (German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association), AMETEK MOCON, Multivac and Tsinghua University's “Anti-Hunger Maker Workshop” activity shared how innovative packaging materials and technologies can extend food shelf life and reduce food loss and waste, thereby reducing production costs for enterprises and also contributing to protecting the environment for society.
This year swop cooperated with the renowned Packaging Communication Design program (SIVAPACK) of Shanghai Institute of Design (Shanghai Visual Arts Institute), a celebrated name in China's packaging design field, to jointly hold “Generation Z, New Future” — the SIVAPACK Portfolio Design Exhibition, and “Insight of the New Era” — the International Design Summit Forum. Generation Z broadly refers to the generation born between the mid-1990s and the 2000s, and is the new future of the market. In this intensifying “new era” of *brand competition, together with *brand owners and the packaging world, starting from packaging design, it helps enterprises and end users seize business opportunities with innovative awareness, business thinking and consumer insight.
swop Packaging World Expo (Shanghai) has received strong support from nearly 60 food, personal care, plastics, printing and packaging-related industry associations at home and abroad. At the previous
edition on site, it received a total of
201 association visiting delegations, with more than 10,000 people.
