Pregis, a paper packaging company, will invest more than USD 14 million to build a new paper plant in the Atlanta area to support the packaging demand brought by e-commerce growth in the southeastern United States.

The new paper plant is located in McDonough, covering about 298,000 ft2, and will mainly produce paper-based protective packaging. Recently, as demand for packaging paper has grown, Pregis has been highly active, having just announced the establishment of two manufacturing plants in Texas.

The new paper plant will mainly produce EverTec™ brand packaging, which uses entirely lightweight, recyclable paper-based cushioning structures inside. The new plant is expected to create about 80 jobs after completion, with room to further expand production and employment opportunities in the future.

Pregis is a leading global supplier of packaging materials and systems, with more than 25 plants in North America and Europe, mainly producing innovative protective paper packaging and sustainable packaging products.
