Amid the Pandemic, These Printing and Packaging Exhibitions Announce Postponement
The pneumonia outbreak caused by the novel coronavirus has spread across China and overseas, and localities nationwide have responded actively by postponing or canceling various large-scale public events accordingly. In order to fully carry out epidemic prevention and control and safeguard the health, exhibition results and vital interests of exhibitors and visitors, many exhibitions in the printing and packaging industry have issued postponement announcements; the following is a non-exhaustive list:
The 27th South China International Printing Industry Exhibition
In order to further carry out prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic and ensure the health and safety of exhibitors and visitors, in accordance with the spirit of the "Supplementary Notice on Responding to the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic" issued by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and the "Notice on Suspending Large-Scale Exhibition Activities Citywide" issued by the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the 27th South China International Printing Industry Exhibition and the 2020 China International Label Printing Technology Exhibition, originally scheduled for March 4-6, 2020 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, will be postponed, and the specific dates will be announced separately according to actual conditions.
2020 Hangzhou Printing and Packaging Industry Exhibition
In accordance with relevant government requirements and after communication with the venue, the organizing committee of the Hangzhou Printing and Packaging Industry Exhibition has solemnly decided that the exhibition, originally scheduled for April 16-18, 2020 at the Hangzhou International Expo Center (the main venue of the G20 Summit), will be postponed to November 16-18, 2020, with the venue unchanged.
2020 Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair
After comprehensive assessment and careful deliberation by the organizers (Huagang International Exhibition Co., Ltd. and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council), the 2020 (15th) Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, originally scheduled for April 27-30 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, will be rescheduled to July 25-28, 2020 and held grandly at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre alongside the Hong Kong International Gifts and Premium Fair and other exhibitions at the same venue and time.
2020 Dena - Chengdu All in Print
Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, the whole country has attached great importance to it and the whole nation has made every effort to prevent and control it. In response to documents such as the "Notice of the Chengdu Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control Command" and to actively cooperate with epidemic prevention and control work, avoid large gatherings, prevent the spread of the epidemic and effectively safeguard the health and lives of exhibitors and visitors, the "2020 Dena - Chengdu All in Print", originally scheduled for March 13-15, 2020 at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center, will be postponed. The organizer will closely monitor the development of the epidemic, maintain communication and consultation with the venue and relevant departments, and properly arrange new dates; once the specific adjustment plan is determined, the organizer will issue a notice as soon as possible and assist with follow-up arrangements.
2020 China Packaging Container Exhibition
In order to further implement prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic and, more importantly, to effectively safeguard the life safety and health of exhibitors, visitors and partners, in accordance with the "Supplementary Notice on Responding to the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic" issued by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, the "2020 China Packaging Container Exhibition", originally scheduled for April 9-11, 2020 at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Houjie, Dongguan, will be postponed to July 22-24, 2020.
2020 World Media Festival City of Art - Central China (Changsha) Printing Industry Expo
In order to fully support the battle against the epidemic and ensure the health and safety of exhibitors and visitors, the 2020 World Media Festival City of Art - Central China (Changsha) Printing Industry Expo, originally scheduled for April 10-12 this year at the Mango Hall - Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center, will be postponed to June 8-10 this year, with the venue unchanged.
Among the many printing and packaging exhibitions, the most closely watched is undoubtedly drupa, held once every four years. Although the organizer previously said it would make full preparations and that the exhibition would be held as scheduled, given the current global epidemic situation, whether this major event can be held on time remains unknown. Due to the coronavirus situation, Messe Duesseldorf has canceled a series of events due to be held in March and early April, but said it currently has "no intention" of postponing Interpack or Drupa.
When the inflection point of the epidemic will arrive is still unknown, so although industry development is certainly important, people's lives and safety must still come first. The above are only the industry exhibitions that have announced postponements recently; for the sake of prudence, more organizers may issue announcements, so everyone should keep watching. May the epidemic pass quickly, and let us quietly await the warmth of spring!
