Published:2021-04-16 · Industry News

[ppzhan summary] Industry standards are the yardstick for the economic development of an industry. Although China's economy has made considerable progress in recent years, in terms of industry standards China still basically refers to the standards of developed countries, which has caused China's industries to lose their voice in development. Therefore, in recent years China has been working in this direction, and recently the relevant authorities solicited drafting units for 2 national standards on packaging printing.

On September 22, 2013, the secretariat of the Packaging Printing Subcommittee of the National Technical Committee for Printing Standardization (SAC/TC170/SC3) issued the Announcement on Soliciting Drafting Units for 2 National Standards on Packaging Printing, soliciting drafting units for national standards from across the country.

The announcement states: "To further improve the packaging printing standards system, in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Standardization Administration of China and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, the Packaging Printing Subcommittee of the National Technical Committee for Printing Standardization (SAC/TC170/SC3) plans to establish drafting groups for two national standards, Classification of Packaging Printing Materials and Classification of Packaging Printing Products, by the end of November 2013 to carry out standards development work. To this end, SAC/TC170/SC3 has decided to publicly solicit drafting units for these two national standards nationwide from the date of this announcement, and units interested in participating in the drafting and formulation of these two national standard projects are welcome to contact the secretariat of SAC/TC170/SC3."

The national standard projects to be drafted this time are: 1. Classification of Packaging Printing Materials; 2. Classification of Packaging Printing Products. Applicant units are required to: 1. be enterprises formally registered in China; 2. be able to provide the necessary support in terms of technology, equipment, materials, test verification, personnel and funds; 3. be able to dispatch experts or technical personnel to participate in the drafting work of the standards.

Solicitation period: from the date of the announcement to November 10, 2013.

The National Technical Committee for Printing Standardization is expected to hold the founding meeting of the drafting groups for the above two national standards at the end of November 2013.
