The eight-side-seal stand-up zipper pouch is a heavy-duty flexible pack for powders and granules. Side gussets are added beyond the sealed edges so the filled bag takes on a squarish three-dimensional shape, and a zipper is fitted at the top. It is supplied mainly for flour and corn starch, categories that have to carry weight and still look good on the shelf.
The body uses a PE laminated material. The laminated layers supply the tensile and puncture resistance needed for a load-bearing pack, and the inner heat-seal layer keeps the seams strong. Because of the eight-side construction the bag sits close to a box shape when full, which saves space when it is stacked or palletised. Where the load is heavy, the base folds and the seal width are designed together with the bulk density of the contents.
The volume for this item is 3KG. Printing is available in 1-8 colours with an MOQ of 10,000 pcs. Bag dimensions, gusset width and zipper position can be adjusted to suit the contents so the finished pack looks as square as possible and packs neatly into cartons or onto pallets.
Typical use is flour and corn starch, and the same pouch is often chosen for laminated snack packaging and for portioned grains or sugar where the pack has to stand on the shelf.
