Total Investment Exceeds RMB 1 Billion: Hongsheng Group (Wahaha) Heyuan Base Breaks Ground
Recently, the Hongsheng Group (Wahaha) Heyuan Base project, with a total investment of more than RMB 1 billion, held its groundbreaking ceremony at the 2026 Autumn Economic and Trade and Investment Promotion Event in Heyuan City. It is reported that the project will build a modern production base integrating beverage manufacturing and intelligent packaging, and is scheduled to be completed and put into operation around June 2027, with annual sales revenue expected to reach approximately RMB 2 billion once fully operational. According to reports, the project is invested and constructed by Heyuan Hengfeng Beverage Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hongsheng Beverage Group Co., Ltd. The construction content includes two production projects: refined beverages and intelligent food packaging, with a planned construction area of 110,000 square meters. It is reported that the project will deploy 4 high-speed water lines with a capacity of 80,000 bottles, 2 high-speed aseptic beverage lines with a capacity of 54,000 bottles, 2 high-speed aseptic milk lines with a capacity of 40,000 bottles, and 4 PE film printing lines, fully covering categories such as bottled water, tea beverages, and milk-containing beverages. According to reports, Hongsheng Beverage Group Co., Ltd. takes beverages as its core business and is a close partner of Wahaha Group; the group is authorized to produce Wahaha series products. It is reported that Heyuan City, relying on Wanlu Lake, a water source meeting the national Class I surface water quality standard, and its mature industrial base, continues to develop its water beverage and food industry. In recent years, the city has successfully attracted leading enterprises in the industry such as Nongfu Spring, China Resources C'estbon, Jinmailang, Baixiang Food, Ziquan Beverage, and Hongsheng Beverage to cluster there, forming an industrial cluster spanning water source development, manufacturing, and packaging logistics.
