Major Work Plans of the Beijing Quality Association Printing Branch for 2013

The printing industry is an important part of the cultural industry. Facing the many opportunities and challenges in publishing and printing work in the new era, only by taking precautions can we find a more far-sighted and practical way out. The Quality Association must take the Scientific Outlook on Development as its guide, take a pragmatic attitude and a solid foundation to do the association's work well, and give full play to the association's role as a bridge and bond. It should guide enterprises to further deepen reform in areas such as green printing, transformation and upgrading, industrial structure adjustment and product quality so as to face the challenges of the market. To this end, in 2013 the association will do a good job in the following areas.

1. Digital publishing and printing have become the future direction of development in China and the strategic focus of the printing industry's development, and the government has increased support for the development of digital publishing and printing. In order to make the connection between traditional publishing and printing and digital publishing and printing more reasonable, the association will organize heads of publishing houses and leaders of printing enterprises to discuss together and promote the digitalization process of the whole industry.
2. Change concepts and change work style so as to better serve member units; adapt to the new changes and new requirements of the printing industry's development under the new situation and enhance the ability to serve the industry; broaden the association's transmission network channels to convey industry information and publicize corporate images, forming greater support and help for printing enterprises; build an information dissemination window for the printing industry and become a platform for sharing printing resources, jointly achieving cooperation, win-win results and development for printing enterprises.
3. In cooperation with the Beijing Printing Quality Inspection Station, continue to carry out the 'March 15' quality inspection activity. The inspection focuses on green printing, environmentally friendly printing, and primary and secondary school textbooks and supplementary materials as well as edition books, albums and digital printed matter of publication printing.
4. In the new situation and environment, with regard to green printing certification, green printing standards, enterprise energy conservation and emission reduction, industrial structure adjustment and benefiting people's livelihood, organize the responsible leaders, quality section chiefs and quality management cadres of member units to carry out tutoring, analysis and discussion to find solutions.
5. Hire experts to give lectures explaining knowledge related to green printing concepts, green printing standards and the building of green printing.
6. Continue to carry out factory-association social activities to promote contact and communication between printing enterprises and publishing units.
7. Strengthen the association's own development, broaden the association's work areas, and continuously improve service capacity, service quality and service results. Expand the ranks of member units, attract more enterprises to join the association, and enhance the association's cohesion and influence.
8. Strengthen exchanges and learning with printing enterprises in other provinces and cities, broaden enterprises' horizons, widen enterprises' thinking, and raise the level of enterprises' quality management work and the quality level of physical products.
9. Continue to carry out the selection activities for quality management, advanced and up-to-standard enterprises, the Quality Grand Prize, product review and the gold, silver and bronze awards, and the Changsheng Outstanding Quality Person Award, to improve enterprises' brand benefits and influence.
10. To meet the development needs of printing quality work, in accordance with the association's charter, actively prepare for the re-election of the Beijing Printing Quality Association.

In 2012, under the care and guidance of higher-level departments and leaders and with the joint efforts of all colleagues, the Beijing Printing Quality Association worked together and completed all tasks well, achieving very good results. Facing the new challenges of the publishing and printing industry, we will continue to work hard, earnestly perform the various functions of an industry association, and provide more services to promote the sound and rapid development of Beijing's printing industry.
