A hanging infusion pouch for large trees puts the body, spout and suspension point into one unit: once filled with plant nutrient solution it is hung at the side of the trunk and the liquid is fed in slowly through the infusion needle. Fruit-tree infusion and street-tree recovery work both use this type of pouch.

The body is made of laminated material that stays flexible and resists tearing, so it drapes naturally along the line of the trunk once filled. The spout is welded firmly to the body and the opening seals well, which reduces the risk of leakage in transit or while hanging; a lanyard runs through the suspension hole at the top and, together with the needle, forms the complete infusion set.
