This transparent stand-up spout pouch makes portioning straightforward: the body is clear, so what is inside can be seen, and a spout allows one-off drinking before the pack is thrown away. Beyond soy milk and juice drinks, liquid Chinese medicine is among its stated uses, where dosing the decoction by portion and carrying it along is a familiar routine. Capacity spans 1-1000 ml, chosen against a single dose or a single cup.
The body is laminated material, transparency coming from the light transmission of the films and strength from the laminate as a whole. Portioning places high demands on sealing: if the side seams are not closed properly, liquid seeps out in transit. Heat-seal temperature, pressure and dwell time are the three variables that decide seam quality, and bag making and filling must stay consistent with one another.
